Who Is Cornwell's Girl?

Who Is Cornwell's Girl?

Hey! This is Cornwell's Girl! I am the creator of Rachel's Worth. I thought I should take the time to tell you a few things about myself, seeing that we will engage with each other soon. So here goes...

I am from the South, where I grew up in a small town with less than 6,000 people. I came from a household where my daddy was a blue-collar worker who always worked at least two jobs, and my momma was an educator. Now, my daddy is the type of man who likes to watch YOUR money closer than you and will become "disturbed" if he thinks you are wasting yours! But, on the other hand, my momma is a person that believes in paying for what she wants. Can you imagine that dynamic? In my eyes, my momma is the epitome of grace; that is why I try to emulate her. Also, I grew up with a younger brother who I like much better now that we no longer share a bathroom.

As a kid, I was made to go to church, and I had to participate from being in the angel choir, acting as an usher, and teaching Sunday School. Whew! I used to get so mad that I had to attend "watch meetings" every New Year's Eve instead of going "out" like everyone else.

Some of my best experiences in life were gained while attending a historically black college. When I left, I had secured a degree in psychology, made lifelong friends, and became part of an illustrious sisterhood where I have the privilege to throw up that Delta sign! Since leaving school, I have worked at the same job.

So, I will not tell you my age, but I watched "A Different World" with Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert when NEW episodes aired on Thursday nights on NBC. Moreover, one of my favorite CDs is XSCAPE's "Off the Hook" and I still ride in my car listening to the single "Weak" by SWV. That was an anthem back in the day!

A bit more about me: I think any food with cheese is probably good! I am experimental with my style. With this, I love wearing the classic sheath dress with stiletto heels down to hoodies with timberland boots. Although sometimes it is a struggle to fit those dresses because again, I love cheese! Anyway, I show my expression through my hair so I may be seen wearing box braids one week, rocking a mohawk the next week, and straight hair the next. It is just all about how I feel at the time! My must-have accessories in my make-up bag are Clinique "Velour Pop" lip gloss and Ruby Woo MAC lipstick.

I feel I am the average woman. I am sassy when comfortable and confident, and I think I can walk in any room and own it! Bottom line, I am pretty impressed with myself in that mode. On the other hand, I feel awkward and shy when I am unsure of myself. During those times, I seem to fidget when I walk and can't get clear sentences out of my mouth. Go figure! I have experienced love, heartbreak, and something in between. And yes, I entered a relationship that I thought would be forever; however, it did not quite work out that way...

All my life experiences thus far (good, bad, or indifferent) have prepared me for such a time as this-a time to fully embrace my divine purpose, which involves creating Rachel's Worth.

Over time, as we engage with each other, you will learn more about me!

Yours,

Cornwell's Girl
